October 14 – The Jhhigu Sako Dey, an Nepalbhasha Translation of Dr. Bal Gopal Shrestha’s research book The Sacred Town of Sankhu is now available for readers. Originally written in English, The Sacred Town of Sankhu is being translated to Nepalbhasa by Sylvia Razopadhyay and edited by Bimal Tamrakar.
The original version of the book was published in 2012 and had gained quite some appreciation and as per the demand of Nepalbhasha readers, now the translated version has been published by Bhasha Sahitya Mujya Khalaa Sankhu, under the financial assistance from Shankharapur Municipality.
Total 544 page book covers the whole history and culture of Sankhu with an encyclopedic thoroughness, detail, and depth of knowledge and research and costs Rs 1200/(for an individual buyer) and Rs. 2000/ (for an institutional buyer).
